Southern Red Oak

The Southern Red Oak is in the Beech family and as its name implies, grows mainly in the southern states. It is a fast growing tree that can reach heights of 60-80' feet when mature. Lumber from the Southern Red Oak is used for flooring and furniture. It is sometimes called Spanish Oak or Swamp Red Oak.
