Environmental Discovery Center

The Environmental Discovery Center will provide a learning experience that will be ever changing and will leave visitors with a desire to return. The project is designed to bring visitors to the tree tops of the 676-acre park. Visitors to the center will gain an understanding of the ecosystems in the park from the view of the worm in the ground, to the bird’s eye view in the top of the trees.

South Carolina's Arbor Day

The Environmental Discovery Center at Lynches River County Park will be celebrating South Carolina's Arbor Day on Saturday, December 6. Please help us in our newspaper recycling contest. Prizes will be awarded for the top three participants for the most paper as measured by weight. More information...

EDC Holidays: The EDC will be closed on Thanksgiving and the day after as well as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Lynches River Park Project Completes Funding Effort
