Join us at Lynches River County Park for the 8th annual River Jamboree on Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. This day of fun for the entire family will feature Phillip’s Farm Petting Zoo and Pony Rides; West Florence High School Rifle Group; live animal presentations from Stephen Hughes, Wildlife Educator; Pee Dee Wood Carvers group; Gen. Francis Marion’s Giles Regiment, Britton’s Neck Militia Reenactors; canoe excursions; hay rides; a frozen t-shirt contest; Francis Marion University snake exhibit; inflatables and plus many more family-friendly activities.

Saturday, May 3
10:00 AM or 1:00 PM

Enjoy a scenic five mile guided paddle of the Lynches River from Lynches River County Park to the boat landing at Hwy 52. This event is free, but space is limited. Minimum weight/age for participants is 5 years of age and 50 lbs. At least one person in each boat must be 18 years or older; two people per boat only (no exceptions). Registration is required and will be accepted beginning April 15, 2014. To register, please call the EDC at (843) 389-0550.

Saturday, June 7
10:00 AM or 1:00 PM

Come celebrate Dads* (and moms, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends) with an Introduction to Archery with a certified Archery Instructor at 10:00 AM or 1:00 PM. You will learn proper techniques and shooting styles using our equipment and archery range. Youth participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and must be at least 10 years of age. This event is free, but registration is required and will be accepted by calling the EDC at (843) 389-0550 beginning May 20. *You do not have to be a father to participate; however, this event is designed for an adult and child to participate together.

Wild Weekends
Every Saturday and Sunday

Join us every Saturday and Sunday for live animal meet-and-greets! We’ll introduce you to one of our animals and allow you the opportunity to meet that animal up close. Animal presentations are every Saturday at 11:30am and 3:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Stop by and say hello to your favorite critter!
