Saturday, July 5
1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Getting stung by a bee can hurt, but losing honeybees forever can hurt even more! It may be hard to see why honeybees are so important to us, but did you know that one out of every three bites of food we take comes from a pollinated plant or animal that depends on bee pollination?
Join Bekki Medsker, Certified Beekeeper, at the Environmental Discovery Center at Lynches River County Park on Saturday, July 5 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, to learn the basics of beekeeping and how you can get started with your own bees!
This program is free of charge, but registration is required. Call the EDC at (843) 389-0550 to reserve your spot!
Every Saturday and Sunday
Join us every Saturday and Sunday for live animal meet-and-greets! We’ll introduce you to one of our animals and allow you the opportunity to meet that animal up close. Animal presentations are every Saturday at 11:30am and 3:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Stop by and say hello to your favorite critter!
