Boat Rentals
Rent a canoe or kayak and enjoy a self-guided paddle on the Lynches River. You’ll put in at the boat landing at Lynches River County Park and paddle five miles to Highway 52 landing. Complimentary shuttle service is available for pick up and return trips to the Park when renting.

Rules & Regulations
Please call 843-389-0550 to inquire about the status of boat rentals before traveling to the park!
Large groups must be scheduled in advance.

Rentals cannot be made after 2:00 p.m; please arrive at the Environmental Discovery Center no later than 1:45PM to allow enough time to complete paperwork and be on the river no later than 2PM

Youth participants must be 5 years or older and at least 50 lbs.

Only 2 people per canoe/tandem kayak. At least one participant in each boat must be 18 years or older.

Life jackets are provided and must be worn correctly at all times while on the river.

Boats must be returned to LRCP no later than 4PM (a portion of the deposit will be held if boats are not returned on time).

Rentals are suspended if the temperature is less than 45°F, winds are higher than 30 mph, or the river level is 8 feet or higher.

A refundable security deposit of $100 per boat is due at the time of rental. All responsible person(s) must be able to provide a valid driver's license and all adults must sign a rental agreement, which includes a liability waiver.

Boats, and all other equipment, must be returned in good condition and on time to receive a refund of the security deposit.
Guided Trips
Enhance your Lynches Scenic River paddling trip by taking one of our experienced guides along with your group. These guided trips are good for paddlers of all skill levels, from those who would like a little more instruction to those who just enjoy paddling with others to share the adventure. Our ACA Certified guides will give a brief paddling and safety talk before each trip and can help you along the way. Advance registration is required for all guided trips.

Two guides for up to 4 boats/8 people = $100*
Additional boat(s)/people may be added based on the experience level of the group, as determined by guide.
*Guided trip fees are in addition to boat rental fees as shown above (with the exception of security deposit). Minimum rental of at least two boats to reserve a guided trip.
