Thank you for your interest in education programs with the Environmental Discovery Center. Below you will find more information about program types, our availability calendar, and the program request form.

Onsite Programs:
All onsite programs at Lynches River County Park are free! Most programs are designed for no more than 35 students. The EDC can accommodate groups of up to 70 students a day by dividing students into two sessions. For groups larger than 70, please fill out a separate request form for additional days. For a full list of topics please see our education page. Programs begin at 10AM. If this time does not work for your group alternate arrangements can be made. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early for onsite trips to unload buses and take restroom breaks. A notice to cancel or reschedule your program must be received at least 48 hours before your scheduled date. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in a deposit being required for future bookings.
Outreach Programs:
Unless prior arrangements have been made, there is a 40 participant maximum per program session. Larger grade levels may be split into two sessions or multiple days may need to be booked. Outreach programs must be paid in full before the program begins. We can accept cash, credit cards, or checks made payable to Florence County Parks and Recreation. Notification to cancel an outreach must be received 48 hours before your program. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in a deposit being required for future bookings.
Outreaches start at $100 and follow the fee schedule below:

One to two programs (same location), up to 50 miles from LRCP: $100; additional programs: $25 per program

One to two programs (same location), 51-100 miles from LRCP: $200; additional programs: $25 per program

Programs more than 100 miles from LRCP will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and a mutually agreed upon fee will be established with program requestor.
